Living with Terminal Illness
Fighting a terminal illness takes a lot of energy out of a person. Reiki can help replenish lost energy to help in the battle for a better quality of life.
Treating someone with a dreadful dis-ease such as cancer is an act of love that cannot be measured. It takes a special person to be able to care for someone who is looking death in the face. As the facilitator of Reiki, channeling large quantities of Reiki energy can be draining, so teaming up with a group of healers for a healing session is worth considering.
If you are the sole healer, please remember to take care of your needs first. You will not be doing anyone any favors by wearing yourself out. Rather than giving a full treatment in one sitting that would likely involve one or more hours of constant Reiki flow, break the session into fifteen-minute sequences, allowing yourself five to ten minutes of rest between the shorter sessions.
Transformative Energy
Reiki, much like prayer, is a personal exercise that can easily convert negative energy into positive energy. For this reason, Reiki is truly a profound and transformative healing experience that can be used to assist a person's transitional journey from the physical earth to that of the spiritual realm. Reiki has also been recognized for the great comfort it offers to the family members and loved ones of someone who is in his or her final days or who has already passed on.
