Circling the Brain Reflex
The brain reflex is found on the top of all the toes. Work this reflex by thumb walking up the toe and stopping at the tip of the top. At this spot, which is one of the main reflexes for the brain, slowly begin to rotate with your thumb. As you continue to rotate on this reflex, you will feel the toe opening to the pressure from the thumb. Keep on working in the circular motion, allowing your thumb to keep rotating in tiny circles.
This reflex is the mirror of the main nerve center of the body, which is housed in the skull. The brain contains billions of neurons and nerve fibers and consists of many parts that receive, store, and transmit messages throughout the body, via the spinal cord.
As you circle on the brain reflex, you are connecting with the twelve pairs of cranial nerves. The nerves in the brain are either motor, sensory, or a mixture of both. These cranial nerves work with the muscles and sensory organs found in the head and neck. You are supporting the homeostasis of this organ. Keeping the brain functioning at the highest level keeps the body functioning equally as well.
Fact
The left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, and the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body. The right side is artistic and creative, whereas the left side is logical and analytical.
