The waistline guideline is found in the center of the arch. The shape of the foot actually helps to locate this line. Look at the outside of your foot. The parts of the body represented here are everything from the diaphragm to the waist. This refers not only on the front of the body, but the back part as well. The reflexes for the stomach, pancreas, pyloric sphincter, duodenum, liver, gallbladder, spleen, middle back, adrenals, and top of the kidneys are in this center area.
All the zones run through here as well as the meridians, which connect this section with all the other sections of the foot and thus the whole body. The difference with this area is the location of reflexes. Not all reflexes are found on both feet; here, some on are the right foot and some on the left foot. For instance, the liver, gallbladder, duodenum, and pyloric sphincter reflexes are on the right foot. The spleen reflex is found only on the left foot.
