Time-blocking is important but real estate does not always work exactly as planned. If something needs to be accomplished immediately, you will have to be flexible. What if someone wants to write an offer? Make a few calls, cancel what you need to cancel, and write the offer! Some monkey wrenches are just what we are hoping for and some are a disaster. If you get a call that a window has been broken at one of your vacant listings, you'll need to drop everything for that, too. Gauge what is urgent and what can wait as you deal with the unexpected.

Remember that you are still a real estate professional everywhere you go. You could well meet your next client in the grocery store or at the beauty salon. So, don't worry that maintaining your life will cut into your business. On all levels, a properly maintained life can only help your business, and isn't having a good life part of why you went into real estate in the first place?
