Setting Financial Goals
How much money do you want to make? Start by writing three financial goals: a short-term goal, a midrange goal, and a long-term goal. Your goals should be specific and have a time frame attached to them. The short-term goal is what you expect to accomplish within the next few months, the midrange goal is what you expect to accomplish within the next year, and the long-term goal can be a projection of three or more years. They may look something like this:
Short term: Make a total commission of $10,000 by my three-month anniversary.
Midrange: Make a total commission of $36,000 by my one-year anniversary.
Long term: Make a commission of $100,000 per year and hire an assistant by my three-year anniversary.
Once you have set the goals, place them on your desk or on your mirror and read them every day.
