Dates

Dates are a sweet fruit harvested from palm trees. They originated in the Middle East and have been a staple food in Middle Eastern cuisine for thousands of years. There are many different varieties available, ranging in texture from soft or semi-dry to dry. The most popular is the medjool date because it is large, sweet, and has a long shelf life.
