This is a basic, mild salsa. Most of the heat is in the seeds of the jalapeño, so if you want a mild salsa, discard the seeds. This is a good recipe to serve with burritos and tacos for a Mexican theme.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4
- 4 cups tomatoes, diced
- ½ cup white or red onion, diced
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 fresh jalapeño peppers, diced
Stir all the ingredients together in a bowl. Chill the salsa in the refrigerator for 1 hour to let the flavors marinate.
