Almond Milk Kefir
Kefir grains can be used to culture nut milk, seed milk, and fresh juices. This milk is good blended with fresh fruits or served with the Granola Bars.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4
- 1 quart Almond Milk
- 1 package kefir grains
- 2 tablespoons agave nectar
- 1 cup strawberries
Pour the Almond Milk into a glass jar. Add the kefir grains into the milk and put a cheesecloth over the opening. Use a rubber band to fasten the cheesecloth to the jar.
Let the milk sit at room temperature for 12–24 hours. It cultures faster in the warm summer weather.
Pour the milk through a strainer to strain out the kefir grains.
Place the milk, agave nectar, and the strawberries in a blender and blend until smooth and serve.
