Pineapple Grape Juice
Both red and green grapes work well in this recipe. Organic grapes are preferred because non-organic grape juice may have too many concentrated pesticides. This is a fairly sweet drink, so this recipe isn't intended for daily consumption.

Fresh Fruit Juice
As a general rule, blend the whole fruits into a smoothie, complete with fiber, to slow down the sugar absorption. Since fruit juice is high in sugars, it should just be consumed periodically as a special treat. On a day-to-day basis, opt for whole fruit rather than fruit juices. Vegetable juice is another good option, since it's usually lower in natural sugars.
