With a few months of experience you will be able to think of a typical toddler day in bite-sized chunks of fifteen to twenty minutes, just enough time for something interesting to do. It will become second nature for you to carry along interesting items when you go out for errands such as having the car serviced so the little one will be occupied. And your mind will plan ahead for those moments of down time, when it seems imperative that you and your toddler shift gears.
