In the early years, little girls talk of marrying their daddies and dads put their daughters on a pedestal. But in the adolescent years, the father-daughter relationship shifts through so many changes, it's hard to keep track. Girls learn early to manipulate their dads and dads begin, as girls grow to young women, to worry about how to act around the child they used to feel so free around. The challenge for the dad is finding a new and appropriate closeness with his daughter.
