Teaching your girl that obstacles are only opportunities for increasing her resourcefulness is important. Overall, the most crucial thing for you to remember is that the lessons you teach her when she is little need to last and help her long after you are gone. So your goal is to make your daughter so strong and powerful that she can apply your lessons as the years pass and tackle the problems of the whole world someday, if she chooses to.
For that she needs to learn to use the phrase I think often and openly express what she thinks. She also needs to be strong enough to put her ideas into actions.
She needs to accept the responsibility of the task at hand and see it through.
She needs to be able to disagree with others, even her superiors in the future, without being unpleasant or becoming aggressive.
She needs to be able to realize that because she is smart and strong willed, she is obligated to put her talents to the best possible use and give back to the community when she is an adult.
You have a tremendous influence on your daughter. You are the guardian of her future. You inspire her to aim higher and to choose the course of her life. In return, she will give you her best efforts and something even more precious. Through your involvement in her life, she will grow into an independent, self-confident adult who can easily relate to males and will gravitate toward men who respect her and treat her as an equal.
