Toddlers' eating habits are a study in contrasts. On the one hand, it seems as if they never stop eating. On the other, it's common that just when you sit them down to have a meal, they manage only a few bites. Despite such patterns, children continue to grow and even thrive. The fact is, their stomachs are small, so they can only eat small amounts of food at a time. Small meals throughout the day typically are best for two-year-olds.
