Speedy Chicken Noodle Soup

Don't have leftover chicken on hand? This recipe uses canned chicken, a quick and easy alternative that is very economical.

Cooking time: 12–15 minutes

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 package chicken-flavored ramen noodles
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup canned chicken
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  1. Bring the water to a boil on medium-high heat. Add the ramen noodles and the contents of the flavor packet. Return to a boil, stirring.

  2. Add the frozen peas. Return to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, until the peas are cooked.

  3. Add the canned chicken. Stir in the soy sauce and red pepper flakes.

  4. Return to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 more minutes.
