Preparation time: 5 minutes
INGREDIENTS | YIELDS ⅔ cup
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh gingerroot
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ¼ cup pineapple juice
- 1 shallot, peeled and chopped
- ¼ cup pineapple tidbits
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into a large resealable plastic bag.
Add the chicken or beef that is to be marinated. Reseal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, turning occasionally so that all the food is coated in the marinade.
Quick and Easy Teriyaki Marinade for Stir-Fries
With a little adjusting, this simple marinade can be used to make a quick and easy stir-fry. Place ¾ to 1 pound sliced beef in a bowl, and add 2 tablespoons pineapple juice, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon fresh gingerroot, and 1 teaspoon brown sugar. Marinate the beef for 20 minutes. Before you begin stir-frying, remove the beef with a slotted spoon, discarding any excess marinade.
