Grilled Steak and Onion Salad
This marinade tenderizes lean flank steak, making it perfect for grilling.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 shallots, chopped
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1½ pounds flank steak
- 3 cups packaged salad greens
Preheat the grill.
In a medium bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, shallots, salt, parsley, and basil.
Arrange the beef on the hottest part of the grill. Brush with the balsamic vinegar dressing.
Grill the beef, turning occasionally and basting with the dressing, until it is cooked (about 8 minutes)
Let the steak rest for 2 to 3 minutes. Cut into thin strips and serve with the salad greens.
