Easy Chocolate Chip "Ice Cream"
Chocolate chip and peppermint make a classic combination.

Cooking time: 5–10 minutes
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 6
- ⅓ cup water
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1½ teaspoons peppermint extract
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⅓ cups semisweet chocolate chips
In a heavy saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
Place the milk in a large bowl. Stir in the peppermint extract.
Stir in the sugar and water mixture. Stir in the egg.
Place in the freezer
When the milk is partially frozen, stir in the chocolate chips. Continue freezing. Let thaw briefly before serving.
