Grilled Ham Steak
Ham steak is a fully cooked slice of ham that may or may not contain a bone. All you have to do is season it if you'd like and heat it.
SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup Texmati rice
- 2 cups water
- ¾ cup orange marmalade
- 2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons water
- ½ teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon white pepper
- 1 1½-pound ham steak
Prepare and heat grill. In large saucepan, combine rice and 2 cups water; bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine all remaining ingredients except ham and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 4 minutes.
Place ham steak on grill and brush with some of the glaze. Cover and grill for 4 minutes; turn ham steak and brush with more of the glaze.
Cover and grill for 3 to 5 minutes, until ham steak is thoroughly heated. Keep cooking marinade while ham is grilling. Serve with remaining marinade over rice.
