Grilled Peaches
Grilling fruit makes the most wonderful dessert; the sugars caramelize and the fruits become very tender and sweet. Serve this after a cookout for a great finish.
SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
- 4 peaches, cut in half
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup heavy cream
Remove pits from peaches. Prepare and preheat grill.
In small bowl, combine sugar, syrup, and cinnamon. Brush this mixture over both sides of peaches.
Place peaches, cut-side down, 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Grill, uncovered, for 2 to 3 minutes, then turn peaches and top with remaining brown sugar mixture.
Grill for 1 to 2 minutes longer, then remove. Drizzle with cream and serve.
