Grilled Peaches

Grilling fruit makes the most wonderful dessert; the sugars caramelize and the fruits become very tender and sweet. Serve this after a cookout for a great finish.

SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 peaches, cut in half
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  1. Remove pits from peaches. Prepare and preheat grill.

  2. In small bowl, combine sugar, syrup, and cinnamon. Brush this mixture over both sides of peaches.

  3. Place peaches, cut-side down, 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Grill, uncovered, for 2 to 3 minutes, then turn peaches and top with remaining brown sugar mixture.

  4. Grill for 1 to 2 minutes longer, then remove. Drizzle with cream and serve.
