Peanut Butter Bars
Make sure you sift the powdered sugar for this recipe, or there will be little bits of unmixed sugar in the bars.
YIELDS 36 bars
- 2 cups crunchy peanut butter
- 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1 11.5-ounce package milk chocolate chips
Butter bottom of 13″ × 9″ pan and set aside.
In large bowl, combine peanut butter and sifted powdered sugar with butter; mix until well combined. Stir in rice cereal. Press in bottom of prepared pan.
In microwave-safe bowl, heat chips on 50 percent power for 2 minutes, then remove and stir until melted.
Pour over peanut butter mixture in pan and spread to coat. Refrigerate until chocolate hardens.
