Wait
Start teaching this command at doorways, either in your home or outside at the car. Take your pug to the door, and tell him to sit. Palm up in front of his face, say “Wait.” Then start to open the door. If he moves, close the door and start over. Repeat until he remains in the sit position as you open the door. Click and treat every time he waits without moving. When you're ready, say “Okay” and let him follow you out the door or get into the car. Practice this command every day until your pug stays steady as a rock until you give the okay to move out.
This pug is performing a recall. After staying on command, the dog goes to the handler once called.
