Every project serves a purpose and has an aim or objective. If the project accomplishes its goal within set parameters, it is deemed successful. One of your first tasks as project manager is to determine how you will achieve that project's goal in accordance with the parameters set forth by the project sponsor. It is important that you carefully assess the project and have the terms, such as when the project is due to be completed and what the budget constraints are, in writing.
