Internet Web Sites and Database Services
There's a danger in using free Internet search sites; many of them aren't really free. They allow you to input information, but to get answers, you must pay money. It's a scam, and the worst part is that some of these sites go on to feed you bits of information, charging you again and again until you've paid quite a bit and have very little to show for it. The following are truly free sites or sites that have at least some areas that are free with upfront information about any costs (which most don't charge) for specialty searches:

You'll like some of these more than others. Some will take time to figure out how to use, and none will provide everything you'll want.
One mention about Blackbook Online. It's the online version of The Investigator's Little Black Book 3, by Robert Scott, an invaluable resource for just about anything you could ever want to search. No investigator should be without it.
