Hitting the grocery store with a list in your hands will help you resist the impulse to buy those foods you don't need. Don't let your stomach do the shopping!
Set up your shopping list according to the layout of the grocery store where you shop. This will make shopping easier and quicker. When you think of the grocery store layout, most of the fresh foods are on the perimeter of the store, with all other foods in the middle. Start at one end, and work your way around.
