EITHER OUT OF ignorance or blatant disregard for antidiscrimination laws, prospective employers sometimes ask questions that are often referred to as “illegal.” Whether or not these questions are actually illegal will be discussed in this chapter. The employer usually doesn't have your best interests at heart if he asks them. If you know what your rights are before going into an interview, you will be able to recognize questions that are inappropriate, if not illegal.
