Kids will love personalizing their pizzas by choosing shapes.
Makes eight 4-inch pizzas
- 1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
- 2 cups pizza sauce or pasta sauce
- 2 cups grated blanched carrots
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Place dough in a warm place, covered, until doubled in bulk. Punch down and place on a lightly floured surface. Roll out as thinly as possible.
Hand children large cookie cutters — geometric shapes work best — and let them cut out a shaped crust.
Place crusts on cookie sheets lined with nonstick foil. Allow children to add sauce from plastic squirt bottles, then top pizzas with carrots and cheese.
Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes or until pizzas are browned and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
