Mini-Bagel Treats

Think of these as quick hors d'oeuvres for the dieting crowd, or as a light lunch when a substantial dinner has been planned.

Makes 12 snack pizzas

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 mini whole-grain bagels
  • 1 cup thick pasta sauce
  • 12 slices Canadian bacon
  • 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  1. Toast bagel halves in a toaster or in the oven. Place toasted halves on a baking sheet lined with nonstick foil.

  2. Spread each with pasta sauce and 1 slice of Canadian bacon. Sprinkle cheese over each bagel.

  3. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned. Remove from oven and let stand briefly before serving.
