Many different factors go into the making of good pictures. Of them all, light is the most important. Without light, there is literally no picture. It's as simple as that. No matter what kind of camera you have, you can create great photographs if you study light and learn how to use it. Likewise, the wrong lighting can just as easily ruin what you thought would be a perfect picture.
