Final Thought

It is a basic truth that if people focused on the things that united them rather than the differences that divided them, the world would be a better place. It is unfortunate that the Big Three did not do that during their two millennia, give or take a century, of not always peaceful coexistence. Not only are all three monotheistic, all three worship the same God.

The Jewish scriptures include the Old Testament, the Christians have both the Old and the New Testaments, and the Muslims honor both those books as spiritual documents and have added what they feel is the last word on the subject, the Koran. There is much in common among these three religions.

Faith is a beautiful thing, and so is tolerance. Can't we all just get along? Isn't that what God would really prefer from his beloved creation?
