The New Age movement encompasses many facets: past lives, soul mates, charkas, Tarot cards, astrology, numerology, astrology, and many other schools of thought, tools of divination, and quests for answers in these troubled times. There is nothing new about them, however. All elements of the so-called New Age are age-old beliefs and practices, most of which were inspired by the great thinkers and philosophers of antiquity. The philosophers of ancient Greece and the mystics of the mysterious East were all aware of and studied the various ideas that now reside under the very generic umbrella of the New Age.
