Obtaining a respectable personal-training certification requires a significant amount of hard work and dedication. However, this is only the beginning. Any credible certifying body requires its members to obtain a certain amount of continuing education in order to maintain that certification. Requirements may be fulfilled by attending seminars, taking home study or college courses, and in some cases by having your work published or speaking at a conference. While it may seem at first to be a hardship because of the time and money involved, continuing education is vital to you as a trainer and to the profession as a whole.
