People travel for a variety of reasons: business, family obligations, medical appointments, pleasure, and special events. The type and extent of travel that is good for your child depends on her unique needs. A child with a severe physical disability and extensive medical needs might seldom travel — except to medical appointments and possibly to visit close relatives. Packing the needed equipment might be impossible because of its size, volume, and sensitivity. Most children can travel, though, and a trip will be enjoyable for all with careful and thorough planning in advance.
