Medical decisions (medications, procedures and surgeries, and medical equipment) can be a large part of the responsibility of parents with a child who has special needs. The purpose of this section (and of this book) is not to influence medical decisions or to make medical recommendations. Rather, it is intended to offer some questions that may be useful for discussion with your child's doctor. Only you and your doctor can make appropriate medical decisions for your child.
