Many people are uncomfortable discussing issues of sexuality. Supporting your child as a person with Asperger's Syndrome means supporting the whole person, including his sexuality. Some parents prefer not to “go there” in their thinking and struggle with perceiving their child as a budding adult. However, if you stay attuned to your child's growing needs as he ages and matures, you will be a resource to him concerning issues of sexuality.
