The law is tremendously broad in scope, and nearly every case requires some legal research. Legal research is the process of determining the law that applies to a specific legal question. For every legal problem, the paralegal must be able to locate the current law, verify that the law is applicable to the client's ca se, and analyze the effect of the law on the client's ca se. This process is known as legal research.
