Apple Cinnamon Wontons

These crispy, bite-sized apple pies will be a hit at your next party.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 2

  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch nutmeg, to taste
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  1. Place apple in a small frying pan over medium heat. Add butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then cook for about 4 minutes while stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.

  2. On a wonton wrapper, add a spoonful of the filling and wet the edges with your finger or a basting brush. Lay another wonton wrapper on top and seal the edges well, using more water if necessary. Set aside. Repeat the wonton-filling process until you are out of the filling or wontons. Preheat the panini press.

  3. Place wontons on panini press and gently close the lid. Cook for 3–5 minutes or until wontons are crisp.

  4. Remove from press and serve warm.
