Jamaican Jerk Chicken Panini

There's no need to wait for your next vacation to enjoy some jerk seasoning. Mango chutney can be found in most supermarkets in the international section.


  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons thyme
  • 2 teaspoons allspice
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 chicken cutlets
  • 2 slices whole-grain bread
  • 1 tablespoon mango chutney
  • 2–3 romaine lettuce leaves
  1. Preheat the panini press.

  2. In a bowl combine onion powder, thyme, allspice, black pepper, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and salt and mix well. Rub the spices on the chicken cutlets and grill on panini press for 4–6 minutes.

  3. Cut chicken into slices if desired and place on 1 slice of bread along with the mango chutney and lettuce. Close the sandwich.

  4. Place on panini press, close lid, and cook for 3–5 minutes.

  5. Remove from press, cut in half, and serve warm.
