Nailing a Good Reading
Now, it's time to turn your hands around and look at your fingernails. Your nails are vital as protective elements of your body, shielding that marvelous mechanism, your fingertip, with its mass of nerve endings that connect you to the world.
The fingernails have a lot to tell you — in fact, some signs are very obvious even to the untrained eye. People with a sense of pride will care for their nails, while no grooming and raggedy cuticles on the hand signal carelessness or slovenliness. Bitten-down nails show tension and worry, either as a way of life in a nervous personality or else as a reaction to a temporary problem.
Beyond that, the shape, texture, growth patterns, and color of your nails can provide the palm reader with a lot of information about your personality and behavior, and even your health.
A healthy fingernail, one that indicates a balanced and successful person, should be a little longer than its width and slightly curved rather than flat, although not so curved it hooks downward at the end.
