English Muffins with Cinnamon Butter

Yields ¾ cup

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup butter or trans fat– free spread, softened

⅓ cup wildflower honey or light agave nectar

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

Whole-wheat English muffins

Store this butter in your refrigerator in a glass container. It will be easy and handy to use on breads, waffles, and muffins. Try this on the Spicy Pumpkin Muffins.

  • Blend butter and honey together with a beater.

  • Once blended, add cinnamon and continue to blend.

  • Toast whole-wheat English muffins and spread cinnamon butter on muffins to serve.

Why Store Food in Glass Containers?

Plastic containers contain bisphenol A (BPA) which has been linked to cancer and reproductive abnormalities, and could be causing environmental problems. If you are going to use plastic, avoid plastics with the numbers 3, 6, and 7 on the bottom of the container enclosed in the recycle arrows.
