Apple Pear Crisp
This fruity dessert is great served with some vanilla frozen yogurt.
INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 4 cups
- 3 medium pears
- 3 large apples
- ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ cup white whole-wheat flour
- ¼ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- ¼ cup butter or trans fat– free margarine, melted
- Canola oil spray
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Peel, core, and thinly slice pears and apples.
In a small bowl combine brown sugar, vanilla, flour, oats, and butter.
Spray a 2-quart casserole dish with canola oil.
Spread fruit in bottom of casserole dish.
Top with sugar mixture.
Bake for 40 minutes.
