Chicken & Mango Purée
Yields 2 cups
INGREDIENTS:
6 cups water
1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 cup Mango Purée
If fresh mangos are out of season, frozen mango can be substituted in this recipe.
In a large pot bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
Place chicken breast in pot and boil until done, approximately 10 minutes.
Once done, cut into small pieces and allow to cool.
Combine chicken and Mango Purée.
Use a food processor or blender until desired consistency reached. Use broth from cooking the chicken, breast milk, or iron-fortified formula to reach an age-appropriate consistency.
If consistency is too chunky, drain through a sieve and purée remaining liquid.
