Butternut Squash & Corn Purée

Yields 1½ cups

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup peeled butternut squash chunks

½ cup water

¼ cup frozen sweet corn

Making a smooth purée is a safe way to serve the delicious taste of sweet corn to your baby.

  • In a medium saucepan, combine squash, water, and corn and bring to a boil.

  • Stir while cooking to ensure that squash cooks evenly.

  • Cook until tender, 8–10 minutes.

  • Transfer to a food processor or blender. Purée, using additional water as necessary to achieve age-appropriate consistency.
