Chocolate Pomegranate Dip

Pomegranates are also a delicious source of potassium, vitamin C, and fiber. Many children who do not eat five servings of fruit or vegetables per day do not get enough potassium.

INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 3 cups

  • 1 small package all-natural instant chocolate pudding
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • 1 cup light sour cream
  • ⅓ cup pomegranate juice
  • ½ teaspoon orange zest
  1. Combine chocolate pudding and milk with a beater. Once blended well, then add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

  2. Chill and serve.

Pomegranate — an Antioxidant Powerhouse

Research shows that commercial pomegranate juice has 3 times the antioxidant activity as red wine and green tea. Antioxidants have been shown to help in the prevention of cancer and heart disease. Try to incorporate pomegranate juice into your children's diets. Once they are older than four years old and less likely to choke, you can serve them pomegranate fruit.
