Pictures Sell
On eBay and other online auctions, good pictures are worth a thousand words, and more, and possibly a thousand dollars, too. Experience shows there can be dramatic differences in the amounts bid for items shown with photographs and the same items described with words only. Indeed, some auction buyers specifically bid on items that have no photographs or only a solitary, fuzzy image. After they win the items at low prices, they take some good photographs and resell the items for a nice profit.
If you are not confident of your writing skills, try printing out the titles and descriptions from several completed auctions for items similar to yours. Borrow some of the best wording, and revise the sentences so they end up being written in your own words.
