Some experts estimate that as many as 60 to 90 percent of people who have OCD also suffer from depression. Not surprisingly, depression can impede any progress you're trying to make in fighting OCD. When you feel depressed, you may not feel like doing much of anything. Worse, when a person is depressed, he tends to lose his ability to believe in himself or his capacity to change and improve his situation. Being depressed often means being stuck. In this case, it would most likely also mean being stuck with OCD!
