Personality Conflicts
The odds are that you'll eventually encounter a colleague with whom you just cannot seem to get along. This person might be another teacher with whom you have little contact. However, it might also be someone more important to you, like your team leader or supervisor. The best thing you can do in this situation is to try harder to get along, even if it seems like you are doing all of the bending.
This does not mean that you should always give in or that you have to be this person's best friend. But it does mean that you should be friendly and look for ways in which you can be helpful. You might even find that you can build a good working relationship from a somewhat rocky start just by being the first to swallow your pride and move forward. Remember, your job and your time revolve around your attitude. If you approach each person and situation in a positive manner, you will have a much happier and enjoyable time as a teacher.
