Assessments are an integral part of all students' educational careers. Most classroom tests are simply one part of the overall curriculum, and the score on any one test usually does not mean the difference between success and failure in the course. This is not the case with high-stakes testing. As the name implies, this type of test has huge consequences for the test taker and often for the teacher and the school.
