Substitutes have a very difficult job. They come into a classroom that they probably never visited before, and must control a class of thirty or more students while trying to follow the lesson plan the teacher left behind. As everyone knows, students are prone to giving substitutes a very hard time. Even the best students will often misbehave when a substitute is in charge.
