Transitioning to parenthood can be overwhelming. Suddenly, you have a tiny, helpless baby to feed, clean, clothe, and care for. It's a daunting task! However, if you helped take care of younger siblings while growing up, or did some babysitting to earn extra money when you were a teenager, these experiences will give you a good starting point for raising your own child. If you didn't have either of these experiences, don't panic. They are not prerequisites for being a new mom. Your baby and your instincts will guide you in your new role.
