Substitute meats and cheeses. Add onions or olive slices.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 6
- 6 slices bacon
- 6 large hard rolls
- ½ pound Monterey jack cheese
- 1½ cups Red Chili Sauce
Preheat oven to 350°.
Fry the bacon until crisp. Drain off the grease.
Thinly slice the cheese. Split the rolls in half horizontally.
Fill rolls generously with cheese and top with a bacon strip. Close the rolls to form sandwiches and place on a baking sheet.
Put in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until the rolls are hot and the cheese is melted.
While the rolls are baking, heat the sauce to bubbling.
Place each filled roll in a soup bowl and ladle ¼ cup of sauce over the top.
